Doncaster indie rockers Eyewonder have a new single, Break The Walls, due on 6 November. It's the second track from their forthcoming EP Car Crash, which is coming out on Blaggers Records.
The press release describes it as a rebellious, gritty and hypnotic track driven by raw guitar fuzz, thunderous drums and an angst-fuelled vocal, turning built-up stress, anger and tension into a wild, melodic release. The whole thing was written, recorded and mixed within 8 hours of the band arriving at the studio.
The band used to be called The Velvet Echoes and changed their name for copyright reasons before their debut single and EP. They only formed in August 2025, and the line-up is Harry Culkin on vocals and rhythm guitar, Lewis on lead guitar and backing vocals, and Cal Lister on drums.
A band that formed in August 2025 and has already sold out a 70 capacity headline show, then a 250 capacity room, before a single song was out is a good sign, and a track made in one day tells me they know what they want to sound like. I'm happy to back Eyewonder, and Doncaster is a town that doesn't get nearly enough indie rock attention.
Those gigs were the Regent basement bar on 15 November 2025 and the Leopard on 21 February 2026, supporting Anastasia Walker's band Fever Dream. They have also played the Dublin Castle in Camden and the Font and Grand Central in Brighton as part of Great Escape festival weekend.
The Car Crash EP is being released one track at a time:
- Only The Fool – 30 September 2026 (out now)
- Break The Walls – 6 November 2026
- Here Again – 15 December 2026
- Stuck On It – 28 January 2027
- Car Crash (plus the full EP) – 26 February 2027
They headline the Hallcross in Doncaster on Saturday 7 November to launch the single. They are also looking to book support slots in Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and Sheffield in December, and a London date in January.
