Sidewalks are a Glasgow indie-pop/rock outfit, and their single Take It is out tomorrow, Friday 16 October. It follows a run of live shows and the press release pitches it as the band at their most immediate yet – driving guitars, soaring melodies, and a theme of breaking free from self-doubt before the opportunity disappears.
There's a real sense of identity to it, which is often the hardest thing for a band at this stage to pin down. It sounds like Sidewalks rather than anyone else – and they don't have to force it either.
There isn't a huge amount more detail in the release beyond that – no band members named, no backstory on how long they've been together or who's producing.
