Nine years after their third album became the very first release on Big Stir Records, California indie rock / power pop band Plasticsoul are back with a new full length, We Can Hear You, Clem Fandango, out 20 November on sky-blue vinyl, CD and digital.
It opens with the glam-powered single J'adore, already getting radio play, and the album also features the psych-rock ballad Little Jewel and a track called Dream Filter, billed as "an extraterrestrial excursion." The label reckons it's the band's hardest rocking record yet, with the hooks and harmonies they're known for still intact.
J'adore thrives on its imperfections – the rough edges are a big part of the appeal, and the whole thing sounds vivid, immediate and full of personality!
It all goes back to 2017, when Plasticsoul's Therapy became Big Stir's very first release – so this one closes something of a loop for the label too.
