New single out from Toronto alt-rock duo cleopatrick, called WHAAT – a "fuzz-drenched, distortion-heavy banger" according to the press release, produced by the band themselves alongside Zig Production House, the same team behind their debut album BUMMER.
There's a lot more going on underneath all that fuzz too – there's a proper emotional current running beneath the surface, and even when the arrangement stays fairly controlled you can feel the song straining at the edges.
It comes with news of a proper tour to back it up – an extensive run through North America, the UK and Europe through 2027. cleopatrick have picked up a JUNO Award nomination and a SOCAN Award along the way, which isn't nothing for a two piece.
